Lions Higher Office
The following members of the Mount Cheam Lions Club have gone on to serve in a higher office in Lions. Note: Lions Year runs from July 1st to June 30th. A Zone Chair (in our case Zone H6) looks after 10 to 12 clubs and reports to a District Governor ( in our case District 19H). The 9 District Governors of Multiple District 19 report to the Council Chair. MD 19 (Multiple District 19) head office is in Bellingham, Washington. See photo below.
MD19 includes clubs in British Columbia, Washington, and Northern Idaho.

Lions Clubs International was founded on June 7, 1917 in Chicago,
Illinois by Lion
Melvin Jones. Since its beginning, Lions Clubs International has maintained
a
strong mission, expressed in our motto, "We Serve." The slogan of the Lions

The official colors of Lions Clubs International are purple (for loyalty
and integrity) and
gold (for sincerity, liberality, purity, and generosity). Preservation of
sight and hearing are
two of the major goals of Lions Clubs International. Membership is open to
men and
women of legal majority and good reputation in the community, and is by
invitation
only. Those interested in membership should contact their local Lions Club.
Lion Fred CLEMSON – District Governor of MD19H 1977 – 78 when our club was chartered. At that time he was a member of the Abbotsford Lions Club.
Lion Rolf ARNOLD was Zone Chair of H6 – 1980 – 81
Lion Brian MacMILLAN was Zone Chair of H6 – 1989 – 90
Lion Ed FISHER was Zone Chair of H6 – 1991-92
Lion Jim HOROBIN was Zone Chair of H6 – 1998 – 99
Lion Jim EDWARDS was Zone Chair of H6 – 2001 -02 and 2002 – 03
Lion Allan HUNT was Vice District Governor of MD19H 2002 – 03 and District Governor 2003 -04
Lion Allan HUNT was Vice Council Chair of Multiple District 19 (British Columbia, Washington and Northern Idaho) 2006 -07
Lion Allan HUNT was Council Chair of Multiple District 19 2007 – 08.
