We make yearly donations to CARE and  L.C.I.F. and have supported them for many years.  The CARE link connects to the MD19 Webpage that explains the MD19 CARE
project which we support.  The L.C.I.F. link goes to their website and explains what the Foundation does.  L.C.I.F. was recently named the Number One Non Government Organization in the World and many other organizations are now partnering with L.C.I.F. in various ways to help those in need around the world.  Chilliwack received funding of $45,000.00 from L.C.I.F. for the Phaco Eye Machine at the Chilliwack Hospital and $12,000.00 to assist victims of the recent floods in Greendale.

Our Club does a yearly children's Christmas Party for needy children.

This year, 2010, we held a fund raising dinner at Evergreen Hall, spearheaded by this years President Lion Jim Cumyn, for the Franklin Foundation and donated $2,505.00 to the Foundation.  The event was attended by former Canuck goalie Richard Brodeur and  B.C. Lions Coach Wall Buono.  We received excellant support from local businesses and service clubs.  M/Cpl. Paul Franklin was the guest speaker.

We have a BBQ trailer which was built by our own Lion Jerry Lahaise with a trailer and two 6 foot BBQ'S from Chilliwack Rona.  Lion Jerry mounted the BBQ'S back to back and cut them down so that they can be comfortably used without dismounting from the trailer.  The trailer has been used extensively for July, 1st, The Terry Fox Run Pancake Breakfast, the Sunshine Drive Pancake Breakfast and BBQ'S for the Chilliwck Firefighters Burn Camp, S.P.C.A. fund raiser, and BBQ'S for the Society For Community Living and the White Cane Club.  We also donate our large grill to the Kiwanis Club for the July First Pancke Breakfast.  Our Mount Cheam Lions Hall is used by many community groups, including Seniors Time Out 4 days a week, ToastMasters, Forresters, Steller's Jay Lions and Mount Cheam Lions

We donate every year to the Lions Christmas Ship which travels to the gulf islands in Canada and Washington State to bring Santa and his Lion helpers to many of the remote island.
